The card is one of only around 2,000 designed for the elusive Bristol graffiti artist’s 2005 “Santa’s Ghetto” pop-up gallery in London’s Soho. The reverse of the traditional format Christmas card, with its Banksy tag, is intact.
Banksy was born in 1975 in Great Britain, he began his work as a graffiti artist within the Bristol’s DrybreadZ Crew (DBZ) group. Banksy is a revolutionary and subversive artist, who uses his art as a true means of communication to proclaim his dismay, dissatisfaction, sadness or revolt. Each time the artist visits a city, it is a real event and generates media interest. Banksy uses stencils to design his creations, each of them is meticulously worked and detailed to give his creations depth and soul.
