The Connor Brothers, known for their dark humour, critically examine contemporary culture through their sought-after works. They first emerged in 2013 under the guise of Franklyn and Brendan Connor, claiming to be American twins raised in a strict Christian cult. This identity was maintained until 2014, when it was revealed they were actually James Golding and Mike Snelle, former London art dealers.
In 2023, they held a solo exhibition, Once Were Kings, at Maddox Gallery, further cementing their presence in contemporary art. The duo’s thought-provoking pieces continue to spark reflection on modern life. With exhibitions spanning New York, Sydney, Dubai, London, Hong Kong, and Berlin, their work is featured in major auction houses and collections, including The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Penguin Collection, and the Omer Koc and Niarchos Collections.
