Nathan is an American figurative and symbolist painter with a deep anthropological curiosity, shaped by his itinerant upbringing as the child of a military officer. His early exposure to a variety of cultures and landscapes ignited his fascination with the human body, making painting his primary medium for exploring the contrasts and commonalities between the diverse worlds he encountered. Born in the Louisiana Bayou but always on the move, Nathan has lived in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Hawaii, Taipei, Daegu, Florence, and Prague.

His work is known for its vibrant colors and continuous experimentation, blending different mediums, precise details, and expressive, lively brushwork. In addition to painting, Nathan is a sculptor, muralist, writer, and nationally published portrait photographer. His paintings have been featured twice in American Art Collector Magazine.

Nathan is self-taught, though he briefly studied at New York’s Grand Central Academy, where he was forced to leave due to the overwhelming demands of working full-time while studying. He was later arrested for graffiti, which led to his departure from New York. Now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Nathan’s diverse experiences and restless nature continue to inform his multifaceted artistic practice.
