Born Dean Stockton in London in 1978, D*Face is one of the UK’s leading urban contemporary artists. Drawn to graffiti, skateboarding and punk culture from an early age, he developed a bold, satirical pop-art style influenced by comic books, advertising and the icons of mass media.
After studying illustration and design, he began creating work in public spaces using spray paint, stickers, posters and stencils, quickly gaining recognition for his subversive imagery and cultural commentary. In 2006, his first major solo exhibition, Death & Glory, marked the start of an international career that has seen his work displayed in major cities worldwide.
D*Face is also the founder of London’s Stolen Space Gallery, a pioneering venue for urban and underground art. His collaborations include album artwork for Christina Aguilera and Blink-182, as well as large-scale public art installations that merge his striking visual language with contemporary urban environments.
