Born in London, Ben Eine is a master of letterform art and a pioneer of contemporary street typography. His journey began over 30 years ago in the graffiti underground, where he first made his mark tagging his name across the city. Refusing to blend in, he developed a bold typographic style that set him apart.

His signature approach took shape in East London, where he painted massive, vibrant letters on shop shutters. Within months, he covered over sixty, transforming urban landscapes into open-air galleries. Unlike traditional graffiti tags, his bright, carefully crafted letters were impossible to ignore, proving street art could be more than rebellion—it was art.

In the early 2000s, Eine co-founded Pictures on Walls, giving street artists a platform when galleries wouldn’t. This initiative helped redefine street art’s commercial success and global recognition. His impact was cemented in 2010 when his piece Twenty First Century City was gifted to President Obama.

Today, Eine’s work is housed in major institutions like the V&A Museum and MoMA, as well as private collections such as Louis Vuitton’s. Yet, despite global acclaim, his work remains deeply connected to the streets, demanding attention, provoking thought, and challenging how we engage with our surroundings. Eine isn’t just a street artist—he’s a visionary who turned the city into his canvas.
